Northcentral University Doctoral Student Named 2013 Delaware Teacher of the Year
We are very pleased to announce that John Sell, an English teacher at Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown, Delaware, and NCU student pursuing his Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership, has been named 2013 Delaware Teacher of the Year according to the Milford Beacon.
Sell is lauded for his ability to connect with students and fuel their passion for writing. One of his most notable achievements was his ability to successfully integrate technology in the classroom. According to the article, “Sell was the first teacher in his school to use online instructional activities and assessments in his daily instruction…and uploaded all of his course materials for student access in and out of school.”
As Teacher of the Year, Sell will represent all teachers in Delaware and will have the opportunity to keep legislators and the interested public informed about the status of Delaware schools. He will also represent Delaware in the National Teacher of the Year program.
Please join us in congratulating John Sell on his inspiring achievement!
